In order to register a .RIO domain, the domain owner must meet the following requirements: -Be a citizen, resident, or entity legally established in Brazil with a Brazilian tax identification number. -Have a valid address in the city of Rio de Janeiro (addresses in other cities won’t be accepted). Please note that .RIO domain names do not allow owner changes except in cases where the ownership update reflects a business transaction beyond a simple change of ownership.
