1. Open Outlook 2010 > File > Add Account
2. Click check box : “Manually configure server settings or additional server types”
3. Select Internet E-mail
4. User info: Enter your name and email account created (user@example.com)
5. Select POP3 or IMAP:
POP 3:
Incoming mail server: mail01.nominus.net
Outgoing mail server: mail01.nominus.net
IMAP:
Incoming mail server: mail01.nominus.net
Outgoing mail server: mail01.nominus.net
6. Login Information: email account created (user@example.com + Password)
7. More settings > Outgoing Server: Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” > Use same settings as my incoming mail server
8. More settings > Advanced :
POP 3:
Incoming server: 110
Uncheck “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”
Outgoing server: 25 (587 alternative)
Must have script: None
Use the following type of encrypted connection: Auto
IMAP:
Incoming server: 143
Uncheck “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”
Outgoing server: 25 (587 alternative)
Must have script: None
9. Ok
10. Check: “Test Account Setting by clicking the Next Button” > Check “New Outlook Data File” > Next
11. Test
12. Close
13. Finish
NOTE: Replace example.com for your domain name and extension.
*You can use the instructions above for any version of Outlook including Outlook 365. However, to make use of Office 365’s other online features, you would need to add the corresponding records on your domain’s zone to set up your service correctly.
